Speech Pathology

At The CARE Centre Australia, our Speech Pathology services aim to improve communication abilities for individuals of all ages with speech and language difficulties. We address a wide range of needs, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and literacy.

Our Speech Pathologists work with individuals to enhance their speech clarity, language comprehension, and expressive abilities. We also specialise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies, providing tools and techniques for non-verbal or speech-challenged individuals. Through individualised therapy plans and a collaborative approach, we help individuals achieve effective communication and improve their quality of life.

The CARE Centre Australia is a family-focused speech pathology practice. We believe every individual has the right to communicate and learn, and that their family and the community are integral to that process. Our foundation for success is family, school, and community training/support to ensure each person can reach their full potential.

We use family-focused goal setting to help individuals develop a range of skills for effective communication. We work with people of all ages and abilities, striving for excellence through continued professional development and training in various methodologies and treatment approaches.

Our families are active participants in the play and learning that occur in our sessions. We believe caregivers are the most important teachers and advocates. We aim to support and coach you to develop skills that can be integrated throughout your week to help your loved one generalise new skills learnt during a session.

Weekly Therapy Sessions May Include:
Preschool/School Observations: To observe your child and support other carers in their life so they can achieve their goals and access preschool/childcare or schooling in the most impactful way.

Collaboration with Other Professionals: In the form of phone calls, meetings, and case conferences to share progress and supports that will help your child integrate and generalise their new skills.

Resource Development: Creating communication devices or books, information sheets, resources for carers and educators, games for home practice, etc.
