Behaviour Support Practitioner

Location: Bondi Junction, Sydney, NSW  

Employment Term: Full-time

Salary range: $77,500 – $120,000 + Super + Travel + Bonus

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Bondi Junction , Sydney and surrounding areas. This position is full-time.

Your Day-to-day

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at The CARE Centre Australia, no two days will be the same:

  • Work in diverse settings, including homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
  • Utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding.
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, using a positive behaviour support framework.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
  • Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee, and laughs.
  • Tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required).
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field).
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and team player mentality.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • A valid Australian driver’s license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
